अल्ट्रासाउंड प्रक्रिया के दौरान क्या होता है?
एक अल्ट्रासाउंड मशीन (अल्ट्रासोनोग्राफी) का उपयोग करते हुए, एक तकनीशियन या डॉक्टर आपके शरीर के एक हिस्से पर एक ट्रांसड्यूसर (उपकरण) को आपके जाँच करने वाले हिस्से पर स्थानांतरित करता है। ट्रांसड्यूसर ध्वनि तरंगों का उत्सर्जन करता है जो आंतरिक ऊतकों से टकरा कर वापस लौटती हैं, और फिर मशीन उन तरंगों से छवियां बनाती हैं जो सामने स्क्रीन पर देखती हैं।
शरीर के प्रत्येक अंग की संरचना अलग अलग होती है जिसके कारण छवि भी अलग अलग घनत्व की होती हैं जो प्रायः सफ़ेद और काले में देखती हैं, जिनकी व्याख्या एक चिकित्सक द्वारा की जा सकती है, आमतौर पर अध्ययन एक प्रशिक्षित टेक्नोलॉजिस्ट (सोनोग्राफर) द्वारा किए जाते हैं और फिर एक रेडियोलॉजिस्ट द्वारा व्याख्या की जाती है।
एक द्वि-आयामी (2D) अल्ट्रासाउंड परीक्षा का सबसे सामान्य प्रकार है।
विभिन्न कोणों पर ध्वनि तरंगों के कम्प्यूटरीकृत विश्लेषण में प्रगति के कारण त्रि-आयामी और 4-आयामी अल्ट्रासाउंड संभव हैं। त्रि-आयामी छवियों को विभिन्न कोणों पर वापस आने वाली ध्वनि तरंगों से संकलित किया जाता है और छवियों को समझना और अधिक विवरण दिखाना आसान होता है।
3डी और 4डी अल्ट्रासाउंड के बीच का अंतर यह है कि 4डी एक 3 आयामी वस्तु की गति दिखाने वाले वीडियो की तरह है।
